About us

Letchworth Garden City Church
is a church for our times. Modern life may have many pressures, but the message and reality of Christianity can bring us to a place of personal strength and clarity within these times in which we live. One of our values is that coming to church is meant to help and resource us, rather than be an extra pressure in our already complicated lives.

As a contemporary church, we think the timeless values of Christianity can work today. Our main aim is to bring meaning, warmth and healing to everyone we meet through a relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s why our mission statement is 'Forming Christ in Everyone’.

We are an Elim Pentecostal Church, part of the Elim movement which has churches all over Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Elim church in Letchworth Garden City is one of the oldest continuing churches in this area, first established in 1922, and with its first permanent building from 1927.

In 2005 we moved to our present location, a factory site but still accessible to the town and the people of Letchworth Garden City. With a long history in the North Herts Area, and a robust commitment to be relevant to our society and clear about the message of Christianity, Letchworth Garden City Church is a vibrant place to explore Christianity.
