Our Mission:

Forming Christ in Everyone - Galatians 4:19 Printer friendly version »

REACHING ~ this is where the journey begins! Jesus’ statement to ‘Go and make disciples of all nations…’ is really important to us. Outreach ministry activities are focused on the seeker. It is the responsibility of us all to befriend not-yet-Christians, and invite them to outreach events (e.g. variety of courses and socials). We want to make sure that when you bring your friends to outreach events, you are bringing them to something that is of a good quality and run well.
RESTORING ~ whilst many new Christians need this, so also do mature Christians. We recognise that many of us carry baggage that needs to be left at the Cross. Many of us, having done that, pick up more as we go through life. Others will hit barriers that seem impossible to move. Courses, workshops, ‘one-on-one’s are provided to help, heal and restore.
MATURING ~ where we grow and transform to be more and more like Christ. Discipleship Groups provide opportunities to learn and grow. Courses are arranged both within Discipleship Groups and separately, to provide general and targeted (e.g. baptism) learning and encounter. Our aim is to help you know more, but more importantly, to be able to apply your knowledge in a loving Christ-like way and to minister in the power of the Spirit.
MINISTRY ~ everyone should sooner or later be released into ministry and we all feel more valued when we are more involved and functioning in our gifts. We want to help you to express your God-given gifts, equip you for your ministry and help you to find your calling. Much of this will be worked out within LGCC, but not exclusively: those called out will be encouraged and supported. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Christian, we’d encourage you to be involved in a ministry. There is a wide range of opportunities from helping with teas and coffees, to catering at courses and conferences, from cleaning the floors to building maintenance, from crèche to senior citizens ministries. What ministries do you think you could get involved in? Please let us know and let us help you release your potential in Christ.
WHY THE ARROWS IN EACH QUADRANT?
Whilst the journey is often clockwise, we recognise that we all may need to move into restoration and other areas of the quadrant sometimes!
