What to expect
When you come to Letchworth Garden City Church, you can expect a warm friendly welcome. You can also expect a contemporary style to church rooted in the timeless values and message of Christianity. We are not afraid to try different approaches to worship services and so we always recommend people come to worship with us a few times before making their mind up about the church.
As you come into the car park our friendly attendants will show you to our front door where you will be greeted by our hospitality team. If you want to let them know it is your first time and they will try to help you in any way. The Auditorium is directly through our concourse area please feel free to sit where every you wish in the auditorium. Before you enter the auditorium you might want to know where the children's work is or toilets etc - please feel free to ask we will be happy to help.
The worship service lasts about 1hour 40 minutes and may include video and drama and a talk that explains the Bible and living Christianity in the modern context of life. We take communion regularly. The music is of an adult contemporary style. Most people dress in a casual style.
Most likely you could be asked to fill out a visitor's card this of course is completely optional but we would love to keep in touch with you and update you on our events. Information given to us is not passed on to any one else.
For aged 11-14 we have a Sunday programme during the talk, its fun and meaningful so that church relates on their level. We have a more extensive youth ministry on Tuesday nights that covers the 11-14 and 15 -18 age ranges.
For children aged 5 -11 we have a fantastic KidZone that is a church for them. The children worship with us for the first few minutes of the service then go to their own ministry more geared to them. We also have a kids club for school years 2-6 - The G7 Event on Tuesdays from 5.00 - 6:30pm. There is also the VIP Lounge for everyone in school years 5 and 6, every other Thursday between 4pm - 5.15pm.
For children aged 6 months to 3 years we have a full staffed and equipped Creche. A safe and stimulating environment so that even the youngsters feel that church is a good place to be. This is our BabyZone.
We also offer a ministry for the 3-5 year old children called MiniZone. A mix of play craft and bible lessons/stories to introduce toddlers to a creative environment.
